Pro Tools Issue

ok, so i have a song and i want to start beat mapping. i do all the right step in identifying the beat but wen PT identifies the beat, if the beat is say 83 bpm, PT stretches out the audio and makes the audio very slow. All i want is 2 identify the beat, not change the tempo. Is there a setting that i have 2 turn on or off?

Right click the audio and click "remove Warp"

You may already know this, but there is a forum for pro tools users:

duc.digidesign.com

it is divided into subfora by type of pro tools and computer, etc.

And you're posting this question here, because you're working on a HIPHOP track?
