Hey, I ended up moving to France for a while as it is closer for work but I would still love to live in Oz.

wow....3 pages of utter nonsense about kicks....only on the hip-hop forum, which has now become totally useless.

This section has really reached its ultimate low. Lately it's been simply embarrassing on here.
More PSM, UBK, Bgrotto and Kew Lewis please...less spammers who take over the place with their self-absorbed rambling and dumb BS.

I use a different name for HH/Rap productions, some of which you just may be aware of,but I'd rather not divulge my other identity ...just yet

Been in it for a minute!

It's all good Bobby,
''Experience is the best teacher''
and the legacy lives forever.

YouTube - Say Something

YouTube - Time Aint On My Side

On these samples, I hear some very deep & nice bass drums.
also the sample that we're listening to I've noticed that the frequency is mostly mid lows to lows and when the drums come in everything distorts like it's being play through a tub setup..
That means that we conceder the source that it's being played from, Maybe like a 12bit sampler or tube saturator filtering mid / Low pass..
lets, not forget that most of what we hear today is from a digital source. (That can be done from a computer) not necessarily a analog source.

I like to make and layer my kicks get close to the sound that I want then EQ and filtering and maybe (PX-64 Percussion Strip) also works well.

Peace & blessings.

The way I see it, he means that there are 3 groups of people.

1. PSM, UBK, Bgrotto and Ken Lewis that he wants more of
2. spammers who take over the place with their self-absorbed rambling and dumb BS that he wants less of
3. People who are not PSM, UBK, Bgrotto and Ken Lewis or spammers who take over the place with their self-absorbed rambling and dumb BS
4. People who can't count
5. People who take jokes too far (hah get it =|)

So, the spammers have no experience and are dumb, but there are still others that aren't PSM, UBK, Bgrotto, Ken Lewis that have experience and are not dumb that he doesn't particularly want more of, they are more on the neutral side. =)
