what digital cable will work for mpc 1000 to mbox2?

can anyone tell me what kind a of digital cable would I need for mpc 1000 to the mbox 2? I tried a rca, and it didnt work, so im thinking a coax digital cable.

Would this one work?

yes. it is also important to plug the ac cord into an electrical outlet of some sort, and to make sure that the power is set to 'on' before you get started.

Even though they share the same type of connector, cables intended for digital communication are not typical RCA audio cables. They are constructed to different specifications and are not interchangeable. If the cable is listed as a "digital cable" you're in business.

for some reason, I cant get it working. I just bought this cable:

Recoton ADC501 - HomeGoodz.com

And i have the mpc's out going into the mobx 2's in. No sound.

You have to set the clock to external on your mbox2.

Not sure about the MPC end but you would need a S/Pdif cable coming into the Mbox2. Also known as a Digital coax cable @ 75 ohms. This uses RCA connectors but is digital wire.

Connect it both ways, 2 cables all 4 jacks.

K got it working. Just realized I have to add a track to hear it, and set it like you said to ext. clock. Only bummer is you have monitor your signal as well in the daw cuz i dont think the mbox2 supports direct monitoring in cubase.
