Great Places To Post Music/Posters In Your City?

What's up GS Fam?

I been giving the responses of my last few threads alot of thought. And I've come to the conclusion to develop 2 series of music which will be delivered in mixtape form. 1 project will be for all the artists i record/produce for and another will be for instrumentals that i have in back catalog to be given the chance of day light.

In both cases, i will do a few volumes for free, just to generate buzz, until i feel comfortable putting them on sales.

So my question to you guys more experienced (artists in particular) what are some good spots in the city to post up? How often do you post up? How long does a promotional campaign usually run for a local (in your experience)?

What i plan to do is drop 1 mixtape a month throughout the winter (November - March)

In my mind I've thought of these places:

Shelving (most places allow you to stack cds near business card area)
- CD Stores
- Clothing Stores
- Urban Fashion Stores
- Mom and Pop style gas station / convenient stores

Posting up (I have no idea in particular)
- Bus Station
- Walmart
- Popular area gas station
- Club strip area

Any advice and locations to consider, please let me know!!! Ill have more questions to come!!
