Any one use reference CDs when mixing

As I'm still learning my mix techniques I like to A/B my mixes with other comercial stuff to check balance, bottom end and punch and stuff.

I find at the mo..I'm using some tracks from the massacre (50 cent) as it seems to have a full frequency range...and lots of puch..and I think is generally well mixed . In fact I'm finding a lot of Scott Storch stuff has a good mix sound that I aspire to.

Also for raw drum track stuff with 'da bounce' I like to A/B with some Timbo tracks.

Another favourite of mine is 'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill' very fat drums on that.

Can you guys recomend any tracks that stand up well mix wise..and you use or are good for A/B'ing?

I reference all the time as well. Its like re-calibrating your ears every now and then.

In terms of what song to choose:

Pick a track u like THE MIX of. Doesnt mean u have to like the song. Should be similar or same genre and it helps when song is in roughly the same tempo.
