If you're finding it sliding off later, find the downbeat on (say) 45 and do the same thing.

Gotta have this down for every day engineering. Can't fly hooks without it (properly).
Tried it, Thanks!

Where's Tony when you need em?

I had to open this one up just to see why there were three pages on how to find the bpms of a song. It never ceases to impress me how much weirdness is on this forum sometimes. This is why PSM is always kicking people in the nutz around here.

I wonder the same thing, lol! All I asked was a simple question, then cats do like they usually do here on GS, started responding with dumb ass remarks instead of just responding with helpful info.

If you got dumb ish to say, and you KNOW your gonna respond with dumb ish, dont even bother responding to the post. THAT was my beef about the whole thing!. Its all good, im from DA TOWN and we bypass the haters on a daily. Its nothing!

psssssssssttt!! Dutch Master resopnsed with the: Idiot remark BUT then deletes his posting like the !@#$% he is, lol! Comedy, boy I tell you!

dude...when you're in a hole, stop digging.

You're infecting this section with your ignorance and stupidity.
If being a dumb f*ck was a prerequisite to ban somebody, you would probably be the first to go.

I'm looking forward to some good "LOLZWUT?" with your next thread. Ok, thanks. Bye.

Maybe its a hobby to YOU but DEFINANTLY NOT a hobby to ME, I got the ASCAP check stubs to prove it also. AND NO I DIDNT NEED TEMPO FINDING TRICKERY TO GET EM EITHER! The tempo finding is NEW TO ME NOW because I NEVER HAD THE NEED for it till NOW. Whoa is me, sue me for NOT knowing how to find a tempo, GRRRR!!

One thing about certain clowns on here thats funny to me. You take simple topics LIKE THIS ONE and RUN like hell with em, which keep me LMAO. If you got helpful info, share it. If you feel you gotta be a smart ass with a smart ass remarks instead of NOT giving any positive feedback, DONT RESPOND! Who REALLY looks silly here? I started the thread, read the POSITIVE, HELPFUL tips, gave my thank yous and MOVED ON. Truthfully I FORGOT I posted it! Ive been to Canada and back to STILL find yall on this SAME TOPIC going back and forward with each other, cheap shots at me in between. With all the "KNOWLEDGE" you guys "supposed" to have, I would think you had BIGGER FISH TO FRY than sit up on this "wasting ya time" leaving stupid remarks instaed of sharing the knowledge.

Me not knowing how to find a "tempo" is something YOU knew about that I didnt. Me cashing ASCAP checks and YOU not, is signs of me KNOWING something that YOU DONT!

Its a dead issue to me. For those with the helpful info, THANKS MUCH once again! For those with the dumb ass responses, YOU dont even count, lol! Now go make music and make money..PEACE
It's all good man. You don't have anything to proove to me. I'm good knowing that up until recently, no one taught me shit, I had to digg for the knowledge myself, and I hussled hard to get my money, without having to look like an asshole on the internet while doing it; infact, there wasn't a forum like this for hip hop when I first started. What ever you get paid, I'm sure I make more... and I only work with small independents. From what I see from you on this forum, it doesn't seem like you even know what the hell you are doing. You better thank god for any amount of change you are lucky to get. I don't like to talk bad about people or say negative things, but I will enjoy saying this.... You are full of BS.dfegad

you guys aint oldskool are you :0

ram a short section into a sampler. set the ttart on the first beat of a bar (easy to hear) then use whichver slider/knob on the sampler to adjust the END point and mess with the sequencer clock-tempo & sampler key pitch at the same time until it is looping 100% perfect

there is your tempo

thats how we do it old skool

He hands me the track and its ALL VOCALS, lol! So im looking to but a track under it but its all set to a default tempo of 120BPM's.

For a situation like that, I would use a "Tap Tempo" standalone (free). Then I would get into the vox, and start hitting on the 2's and 4's, get a number and multiply by 2.

I did however find this site Tap for Beats Per Minute BPM when looking for the standalone.

This is Hip Hop, so the answer is probably know. You're lucky if he ain't drooling on his wrists, let alone contemplating anything with numerical value with more than one digit. Bling bling. Bling bling.

LOL. I'm good Micah. How have you been? Give me a call sometime.

Usually when I call the client, it's to say "you sent me the wrong files", or "you sent me the wrong song," or "no, it's not finished yet because I haven't started because I'm still waiting for you to send me the files."

Just kidding... I usually have excellent communication with my clients (which they appreciate!). That said, most of the time I'm hired by the artist, the artist's manager, or the label. Generally speaking, none of them know the tempo. I can generally figure out the tempo on my own faster than I can dial their number anyway
