Ok i have observed this with time that...THIS IS FRIGGIN HARD TO SAY..

leave neptunes aside...

A lot of times u can loose a lot thinking sample accurate editing is the right thing to do..
sometimes on layered sounds like kicks it works at times it ****s it up..
say the reqmt cause a sound is also created by sample offset in the next layer..thats the vibe of the sound.
it can work for some ppl like BT who dont lose the feel while doin it..and have a very balanced approach
each groove has its feel..and while recording/sequencing one should finalise it and not wait for the editing stage..it can be a nightmare like a dream within a dream within a dream when u think editing helps..later to realise u have lost the relationship the parts had with each other...
in terms of the balance and timing of individual elements..

I guess its all about the feel and the right balance when u creating and with practise and experience it is a natural thing to make the groove bang on few things quantized perfect and a few parts left loose like the highs ..
maybe quantize the constant part of the groove and try getting the grooving part with the right perfrormance without quantize..this is somethin im still working on..but it can be very very tricky..I feel things happen when there is a rush
15 mins a lot happens that can get ****ed up tryin to make it perfect for 15 hours. Its about the right habits and CHOPS..good at keyboard and a good idea about the grid..study somethin like KONOKOL and brazilian rhythm is really helping me..the better u understand pocket the better ye beats will be.
ANyway i have a q for the experienced programmers...
i have noticed that after i program with say stylusrmx and even after quantizing, and bounce to audio and really see it up close in the editor its not bang sample accurate..tricky in logic..or say even putting in PT..at the studio..why does that happen?
