I'm just curious but when you have as much lyrical talent as Nas, why would you NEED a $2 million dollar beat? Wow! He must really feel like he's slipping out of the game.

I've got a beat here that's pretty nice....$1 million anyone? Ok...$500k....but that's as low as I go.

No doubt...add buying the rest of the beats, studio time, video shoots, marketing, etc and he could find his self broke...broke...broke. I wish him the best but I can't see ANY track that's worth the price of an entire rap record budget.

Wu tang Clan made a similar mistake on thier second release by spendig a mill on the first video. Presales were great because of the hype but once the album hit....they were toast. Nas better make sure this record is all it being hyped up to be.

He better also hope that it doesn't leak out early because that could destory the sales too...what a risk!

nas is a skilled rapper. but hes a nerd on rappin over neptunes beats.
he should stay on alchemist or someone else who is grimey enough
for his style.

I think so too. It's like when THe Offspring was going to release an album on their website. It got the front page of tons of newspapers and talked about alot. I doubt they were going to do anything like that.

If you don't care or it's not relevant to you then why post a comment to the thread? That's just sillyness to try and start some mess. Try to be a little less obvious next time.

You have to admit, this 2 million dollar beat is intriguing to most people.

I just got some new Nas sh!t and the song I have had real drums with a piano and virtually no bassline. It also has a spaced out chorus that sounds like it came from an Eventide DSP4000 pitch shifted down and a bunch of spaced out echos with a flanger. It's called "Don't Body Ya'self"..... Anyone know if this is the $2mil track?

I wouldn't think so either... Even a half-a-mil seems way too much never mind 2mil, especially in up front money...

Tony, that song has been out for a while and it has some subtle 50 cent disses in there. That's definitely not it.

OK. Not a big Nas fan, so I don't really keep up... I also got some tracks with him and Kanye on them. Not sure who's album those are from (Kanye drops at the end of the month, maybe it's his album)... I doubt those are it either.

That's hot, I just gave Nas a beat cd two weeks ago. I got one to Immortal Tech and Tech9ne the same week.

I doubt the 2 million dollar price tag.

Peace,

That track is pure heat!!!!!!!!! Great production and mixing on this one.

I don't agree about what he said about Joe and 50 in the last verse, but i luv this track. "Joe too street for him (50 cent)" I dunno about that........but if that's true, that is really a diss!
