D16 Nepheton

This my first post here and I really just have a question, Im lookin into getting Reason 4, an AKAI MPK49, and I also was looking at getting the D16 Nepheton for the 808 sound. I downloaded the demo for Nepheton but I was wondering, how do I record the Nepheton into a track onto a DAW such as Fruity Loops (which is what I tried the demo with)?

Also can I trigger the individual instruments from a Midi Keyboard such as the MPK49?

Sorry if this question has been answered but I tried the search and couldnt find my answer.

Thanks

If you turn off the internal sequencer in Nepheton you can play it from the keyboard. Otherwise you program it like an actual 808, then use the piano roll in FL to trigger the patterns.

Thanks that helped, I looked up some information on how to program the real 808 so that gave me a better idea too.

Got one more question though, Can I run compression/eq on say just the Snare or bass drum that is on the nepheton? if so how?

Thanks again

I'm guessing the VST has multiple outs so you can route it to different mixer channels. Enable multiple outs for the D16 then compress or EQ whatever channel you need to.

Routing multiple outputs to separate mixer channels in FL Studio

Well I just looked and maybe its because of the demo but after I select "enable multiple outs" there is no "output" option to go to the channels, any other options on how to compress/eq the individual instruments? I tried inserting Nepheton into a channel for EACH instrument (ex. Nepheton channel for snare, channel for bass drum, but after I added compression to the bass drum in the mixer, I tried to add compression to the snare and it seemed to affect my bass drum even though there was no bass in that instance of nepheton

Sorry if thats confusing but im confused myself ha

Yeah it sounds like you don't even know what the hell you're doing. If you add multiple Nepheton's you'll have to route each of them to individual mixer channels.

If you don't know how to do that go ask on the FL Studio forum or use the help manual. This is really basic shit...

Sorry to reach out to this old thread, but can you explain me how exactly I trigger the patterns with the piano roll and is it also possible to trigger fill-ins and other stuff?

thanks,
n.
