microphone for SUPER DEEP RAP VOCALS

so i've used mics such as Soundelux ifet7, Soundelux E47, Blue Baby Bottle, Rode NTK, AKG C300 etc and still to this day have problems finding a mic that I don't have to EQ the hell out of in the mixdown...(drop the lows, raise the highs)

right not i've reverted to using a Shure SM58 to save the trouble...
it looks like i'll be purchasing a Daking Mic-pre One today and i'm looking for a new mic to throw in with it...

i was offered a steal on a Blue Blueberry (under 300) what's your guys view on this?

here's a sample of my work so you can hear how deep the voice is...

if you can get the blueberry that cheap get it.. it doesnt have a huge proximity effect what so ever and if you mic 6-10 inches away you'll get a great sound that you shouldn't HAVE to eq.. small cut here or there

sorry Wiiz if my terminology bothers you...

shall i tell you that I found the AEA ribbon mics amazing for my bluesy singing?
or that the 1272 is my favorite micpre for rap vocals on bass heavy tracks?
or that the Pendulum Audio Quartet paired with the Soundelux E47 was my favorite combo for more pop sounding rap vocals?
i can keep going...

.......
but we're all good my friend

Hey, get the blueberry.
I was going to say the blueberry is good for low vox.
Most people think you need a mic with alot of bass for low vox, but this is not the case.
The blueberry for low vox is great, IMO because its very bright to begin with.
For 3 bills, hellz yeah!
You'll have a great mic around your studio.
Sounds great with a 512c or UA Solo 610.
Awesome for acoustic guitar!

I'd prolly go with an sm7 for that dude, and drive it a little bit.

+1 Purple Biz, I love the bottom and everything else thu these preamps. its just very nice. Seems to have its own extened tone in the lows, clean and big, or aggressive and big.

How about an electrovoice RE20? It's $400 brand new.

You have to damn near eat the mic if you want any type of proximity effect. Also has a bass roll off switch on the mic itself which helps. It excels in situations requiring alot of talking such as radio broadcasts and voice overs, so that makes it suitable for rap vocals as well in my opinion.

brauner phantom for low voice is great, I tried the sm7B and it's flat dark mic (dark mic + dark voice = very dark result IMHO)

Have you tried the SM7b? you get get up on it really hard.

other than that

A Telefunken AK47 might be good for you?

what preamp are you using?

I liked your beats but your vocals seemed to not fit in the mix.

I was so pleasantly surprised when i got my SM7B....i was worried that there might be too much "hype"...but it TOTALLY lived up to all of it.. I use it all the time now, even though i have mics that cost way way way more. Great mic, very affordable...everyone should save up and add one to their locker if they don't have one.
