Acousticas IR Libraries (Lexicon300/EMT 245)

Does anyone use the Acousticas IR-Libraries?

The demos sound great!

It's discussed here.

But would you use a Lexicon 300/EMT 245 in a hiphop-mix?

I like the lexicon when the stuff needs to get wet. Like on a souring violin in the back.
I make hip hop and and on drums and vocals I use the EMT 245 all the time. I love it in the range between 0.8 and 2 seconds.

If I had to make a choice between the two for hip hop only, the EMT would win that prize.

Thank you for your input!

I know you're a huge fan of these IRs..

I use Logic and i've read that there are presets for reverb modulation. Are these different presets for each product? Can you tell me a little bit more?

I have and use a real 300; I've been working with that unit for years. While the "bigger" verbs may have limited use in modern commercial hip hop, the plates and especially the ambience patches are extremely useful.

AFAIK, the presets are different tween the two products. I haven't checked the actual settings but the names are different.

I use the mods. a lot on longer reverbs only, as IMO it gets a chorus style of sound, when used on shorter reverbs. but on the long tails it really adds life to the sound
