Greetings natt,

I have two suggestions; repair/replace your FW (IEEE1394) port a.s.a.p. and in the meantime download and install ASIO4ALL to use with your Realtek.

Thanks spy, i took your advice and installed the asio for all (and i will get my firewire port fixed asap).

not i have a new little issue (little because if it cant be resolved i can stil go about my day to day runnings)

since installing the asio4all, i can no longer play audio from cubase and other apps (media player, web browser) simutaneously. i used to be able to before, but not anymore. i have released the asio in the background on cubase, but that has not effect.

is there something i can do to have both running?

ps having cubase audio and another apps audio running at the same time is something i do to create patches and melodies inspired by other work.

Whad up natt! To answer your first question; does
anyone find rob papen predator cpu heavy?
You should be able to run multiple instances with no problem on your set up. Unless you're just running so much stuff that it's overkill. Some of it's presets are more cpu intensive than others but not to the place where you can't run 2 or 3 instances. If it was installed properly there shouldn't be a problem. On the Asio thing it is imperitive that you use real Asio drivers. Cubase will buck on you if you don't.
