Please help! Adobe audition 3!

Hello,

I have an issue with Adobe Audition 3. I have recorded my vocals, laid them out the way I need them, properly mixed them.

This is the problem, whenever I play it within Adobe Audition everything is fine and sounds great. As soon as I export the file and play the mp3 it makes, it is distorted and becomes fuzzy while playing...

I don't know what I am doing wrong as I have tryed saving it and every possible way and don't know what the issue is or how to solve it.

Please if anyone has an answer for my problem, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank You,
-legn8er

Have you tried different MP3 settings?

I suggest you don't Export and Use "Save As" and use the standard/default setting. Depending on your needs, you can always bump up the quality.

Also for different tests, load up a regular MP3 file and see how it plays back. Is the file fuzzy only in AA3 or does it play the same way in your media player?

the file is only fuzzy when i export it... others play fine. I have tryed different settings, 128, 192, 320 bitrate...

I think it may be the problem with the vocals + instrumental being to loud?

If i put like -5db for volume throughout all the tracks then save it, it seems to play fine?

I dont know why it does that...
Never had a problem like this, usually 0db was always fine for me.

That is strange. You'd be able to see the clipping in the regular meters and see the 'red line of death'. Maybe, just maybe you've been hitting it before but not much and this one track is 'extra over' and there's no sweet spot soft-clipping-overdrive in the digital realm.

I don't know how the mixdown could play just fine and after you save it, it's distorted. Mystery there.
