cool edit pro help...

I'v been using cool edit for quite some time now but I need to figure out some things I don't know how to do. I record rap and when I lay down the hooks... I wanna learn how to line it up with the beat so I can cut and paste the hook over and over. I know you need to know the bpm of the track. The track I'm working with is "95bpm". What do I need to do?
Thanks... Adam Hassan

.. probably get a proper sequencer. Cool edit as far as I remember isn't really designed for working with bars and beats. I don't know if they updated this when it became Adobe Audition.

If you're on a budget, there's no shortage of people recommending Reaper as an audio sequencer and editor.

I don't have Adobe Audition in english so I don't know exactly the name of the control but I'll try to figure it out.

You have to press mouse right button above the control where the time is displayed (1:04:234). You'll see a popup menu where you can select what info you want to see in that control. There is a "bar and beats" option. In the same menu, you can find "Edit tempo" where you can put your song tempo and tweak some parameters.

As far as I remember, the same options are in Cool Edit.

Un saludo!

I'll second Reaper as a great DAW for a small donation.

Using Cool Edit, you could always do it the old fashioned way.....use your ears.
