None if you don't need any. Kidding kinda. You'll probably want to compress the vocal if you're doing hip-hop.

Just try different mic angles (a little off-axis tilt one way or another can change the tone) / locations of your room until you get a good result. Hard to answer that question not knowing where you're recording at... bedroom, garage, hard walled basement?

Play with the faders, pans and effects until you like what you hear?

Questions are kind of non-specific. All those things change depending on the performer and the material being recorded and mixed. If you give more details about your recording space, limitations, a sample of a song etc,... people could probably help you more.

The generic "one size fits all" tips don't often help. Do the best you can, mix something, post a sample and then people can give you specific tips.

I do a lot of hip hop project and the problem i am seeing is not the sound its all the other stuff going on. You would want to eq out some of the other vocals so they are not cluttering the main. Remember the main voxs should be emphasized. I think your fine with the tracking you just need a quality mix behind you.
