we're indie, so we don't have a lot of money. If some of you could inbox me some prices on what it'd cost us for you to mix this down for us i'd appreciate it.

The song is called "Red, Green, Blue". It's not typical hip hop, and it's dope.
You can hear the single here: http://www.somobe.com/RedGreenBlue.mp3

Best,

btw, we are kinda getting known, so it could be good exposure as well.
Peace Jazzy... I pm'd you.

TV Mix (Take out all vocals during the verses, leave vocals on chorus)
As far as editing out profanity, there is no profanity in any of our music, so that makes it real easy. The TV mix is scrictly for television purposes, not performance.

Hey, any tips on where/how to pitch music forTV? websites?, addresses? anybody help me?? pm me please

btw guys, i'm bouncing the files down now, there is about 2.5gigs worth so i think i'm going to put it on a share site. i always get booted off of ftp when upload that much data, don't know why. the song is 32 tracks, so not too bad.
The usual terminology is:

TV track/PA Mix/"Top of the Pops" mix (if you're in England)/Backing Track - includes backing vocal stacks, doubles - and is used for performing over when on TV, at live shows (solo artists or MCs I guess, I think most bands would play live!). Usually just the Lead vocal (and adlibs I guess if it's that sort of track) will be muted.

Instrumental - what you're calling a TV track - no vocals at all, just instruments.

Bgrotto (rightly) questioned the meaning that's all - you're thinking of one thing, but your terminology is normally used to mean something else.

That's how I've always done it.

Glad I'm not losing my mind.

Need to let Illumination borrow some gear!

Just kidding

Man I hate you, now I want a Tube Tech for my drums!

SHIT! I got like visions of running my overheads to the Tube Tech to my reel to reel and back into the DAW. Must you torment me!

On the reals though, I'm doing some research on a mod to my PRO VLA, adding input transformers.

Waiting back for dude to help me with some connections and then I'm slapping some Tamura Transformers in there to bring the funk.

He claims he can ditch his LA2A now because of how good his PRO VLA II sounds.

I plan on doing the same mod. His mod used Stancor WF30s.

Night and day difference by the way.

All I need is 50 bucks, a drill and some fluorescent lights to get me in the zone!

Peace
Illumination

If you zip them up in folder it should save you a lot of time uploading ....

I am sure you were going to that anyway but a lot of peeps dont do it when uploading tracks to my server

You should zip the folder that contains everything and upload it on the ftp.
One big (zip) file will upload much faster than multiple smaller files.

You could upload it on my ftp with no problem... if you hired me of course.

But definitely zip it and upload using yousendit or something similar.

i just double checked the FTP account, you're good to go up to 5 gigs.

as others have said, make sure the file is either Zipped or Stuffit.

Yeah, every planet I've ever lived on a "TV track" was the whole tune with the lead vocals (or any vocal parts that can be performed live) muted for use on TV or other 'track dates'. If the song fades out we edit an ending on it.

It wouldn't work for me when I tried to connect via Safari, but then I just used Transmit and it was fine.
