Thread Starter | ambitionz ridah = 808 kick? 2pac song ambitionz as a ridah is that an 808 kick? i always hear songs and think wow thats a nice kick, and then many months later, i realise that its just an 808 kick. but im not sure about the 2pac song. any other famous examples of an 808 kick? silly question, im sure theres millions. but give me a select few examples if you will. marvin gaye sexual healing i think. |

| It's definitely not an 808 on Joeski Love. Sounds like one on Tupac but quite processed, not raw out the back of an 808. |

"yah i know but seriously 3 minutes on google he should just LEGALLY download 808 samples and play with them making music" 3 mins on google for what? I know what an 808 is.... this thread is not about "what is an 808". I have a good amount of 808 samples and rebirth and have made tracks. |

I'd also assume if you're familiar with the sound of an 808, that you could discern which songs have them and which ones don't on your own.... I'm not trying to come off harsh (which I'm sure I'll be taken as) but I'm just a little lost. As far as the question of Tupacs song I would have to agree with Tony... Sounds like the Joe Ski Love kick layered with a short decayed 808 and mixed to taste.... |

| Don't know if this is the case... Side chain the kick to a gate which is closed over a sine wave playing at desired hz. tweak gate decay from knock- thump- boom, etc. Blend accordingly. |
