New video I produced ...

Hey slutz,

I just got word that the last single I produced is playing on the radio & on Urban/TRL over here in Germany. Thought I´d share the video since they just put it on youtube:

And to keep this production related:

This joint was composed by a good friend of mine who is a pianist and myself. I had my blass player come in with his custom 5 string bass, one of my guitar players replayed the guitar melody I had with his half acoustic jazz guitar. The rest was pretty much inside the box instruments and programming.

A great mixing&mastering engineer from Hamburg/Germany and a fellow GS by the name of H-Peh mixed & mastered this song (in case you read this Hans, GREAT job!) Single will drop oct 3rd.

I know the youtube sound quality is horrible, but maybe y´all still wanne peep?!

Peace out from Germany ...

Nice. I like it a lot!

One of the very few rap tracks (especially from Germany) in the last years that I liked instantly! Good hooks, too!

Oh, and I also enjoyed the video - probably cause it comes across so real. None of this fake gangster BS.

Thanks. Glad you like it. I have to agree on the last sentence especially!

geil hope this takes off.

only thing that sounds kinda awkward to me is the timing of the triple kick every 4? bars... like the kick is way lazier than the snare and hi, but that could be me.

Please believe I have discussed that kick with quite a few people. I like it the way it is, but that could be me ;-)

Hot beat, hot video work ... rap just sounds strange to me in different languages but, you know, I'm just an arrogant American. ;-)

You even managed to find a hot black chick in Germany. Way to go!

Awesome work man! That triple kick took me by surprise at first too, but by the time it reached the end of the video I was all ears just anticipating when it would come back in again.

Nice! I wish I could understand what he was sayin.

Kick threw me off at first (like it wasn't swinging hard enough) but I forgot about it halfway through the song.

Ditto on the cutie with the curly hair in the vid!

Nice track!!

really diggin it....and good work by hans!
def. gotta hear that one on his Barefoots soon....

I´m not really liking the sounds of the kick + snare...would love to hear a version with
a nice vibey, roomy real kit....

...more ?uestlove - style, more ghostnote stuff, no loops !!

...

Sounds nice...I actually like the drums the way they are...the triple kick could have a bit more swing on it but still sounds good the way it is....The bass sounds a lil over powering at times as well but mabye its just my headphones im listening through..

good job regardless...

Niiiiice .. i like it alot especially the part where the mc kinda sings and the background vox seems to be passing trough a vocoder or something. It reminds me alot of The Streets.

Talk about good MUSIC. !!!

For the hook on the song, we tried out various versions. On this final version we have had a singer resing what the rapper "sang", but I decided to keep that very low in the background. and yes, there is a vocoder underneath the original hook.
