checkin the mail every five minutes since i ordered my upgrade on monday
BTW omnisphere will include the entire atmosphere library so all thats left for
spectrasonics to do is straighten out trilogy
im sure they are well aware of how anxious folks are to use all of their products
on all current platforms and OSs

after 15 minutes with it...

some (many?) of the patches definitely have a "sound".

no question this is in league with RMX as a film composers must have. Single note soundtrack patches all over...

very interesting trance stuff.

very glitchy pads.

IDM bass.

dial up jangling beauty for something totally new. This will be in a film within 3 months.

after 30 minutes.
no question this is cool. Not sure it's going to work for everybody, but i will get a lot of miles out of this. hard to say more until I've spent a lot of time with it.

Yea, from the NAMM presentation and seeing the direction they were going with a lot of their sound design, I figured this is definitely geared towards the film composer type as the one finger miracle patches can demonstrate.

MYAMS, i definitely feel your pain, but from a company perspective, well they're going with the right priority. I guarantee there's more people who bought Stylus and especially RMX by the sheer amount of that content that you can hear in tv/radio/film.

The good news is, well they got an engine now, and I'm confident they will deliver something that does Trilogy even better than trilogy . I'd rather have waited this long for a company of this caliber to continue to deliver quality product that's easy to use and sounds phenomenal versus having them rushed the rollout and created a product that was clearly in "beta" still as so many VST / VSTi's / DAW's seem to do as of late.

Didn't realize the Atmosphere content was ported over, good to know.

i picked up a copy today.

got all 6 discs loaded up and did a quick run through.

sounds really good so far and is very smooth to work with. everything is laid out nicely and it is very easy to edit. the effect racks are the sh#t.

if i get some time tomorrow in between sessions i'll throw a track together with it and post it if you guy's are interested in checking out some of the sounds.

so here is what i came up with screwing around with it this morning. it is not really a song just kinda playing with sounds etc.

there are 7 synths total used all from omnisphere.

i didn't mix it or put external fx on anything just to give you an idea of the actual synth.

(the levels are rough mixed all on the synth itself)

other than that there is an api 2500 on the buss through a hedd 192.

i'm really liking it so far. it is laid out pretty smooth.

let me know if this link does or does not work. never used this site before!

i agree. the presets i've been through so far seemed to be a little more aimed toward electronic/film(ish) scoring type stuff. not to say that you couldn't use it for anything. like i said, i got it last night and tracked that this morning so i've had no time to really get in deep with it and would normally not even be using presets with a synth. just wanted to throw it up to give you guys an idea of some of the sounds.

Cool that saw is nasty... would you show us some of the gated presets? Whats the bass selection like do they have all the classics like a sine moog with glide on it (rnb style)?
