Logic Copy and Paste shortcuts

I keep seeing tutorial videos on the internet where people have this short-cut of copying and pasting where they highlight a set of regions and drag it over. Anybody know the commands for this I know it is commonly used in many DAWS.

Also, do any Logic users here have any tricks for aligning audio regions? I keep having this problem where I shift an audio file down the timeline, and it ends up beings slightly off of the exact measure I want it at. Is there a function that alligns it to the closest marker for you?

@MYAMS

The command for "Copy Drag" like you are describing is "alt/option".

Select the region(s) you want to copy, then hold down alt/option, then drag the region(s) where you want them

Regarding snapping regions to markers, use the ";" key to automatically snap the currently selected region to the playhead. The playhead can be moved to any given marker using the "Go To Marker.." key command. So, move the playhead, then hit ";" and you should be kosher.

Hope this helps,

=ro

command-R lets you duplicate highlighted regions to the end of the last highlighted region. just make sure your snap is set to smart and highlight properly and you're ok...

i usually just hold option and drag selected regions where i want them and repeat if necessary... they snap-align for me ... watch the yellow box and make sure the bar is exactly on 33 or 25 or wherever...

command-R is more when i have my hook + verse + bridge done... i might fly another hook+verse+hook at the end or something.
