So now that gets us up to 66 bugs in how many months?
Who did the beta testing Helen Keller?

We now know the reason they changed the model number from MPC-3500 to MPC-5000 was because they wanted the model number to represent the bug count.

lol hahahhahah

or they wanted to have 5 times more bugs then the first mpc 1000 os!!

I'm not a 5000 user...

but let's just hope JJ is working on an OS for that clunker.

Also, the thing Just Blaze mentioned about assigning pads and how easy it was on the 4000. I really wish JJ would fix that on the 1000 with his OS...super annoying.

Yeah, the 4k is the best when it comes to assigning samples to pads.

actually just learned how last night to do that hella fast on the 1k / JJ when i was making drum kits

do this:

1. press mode / pad 11 (the JJ program edit)
2. move your cursor to the 1st sample field
3. press the "whole" soft key (f6)
4. move the wheel to select the first sample you want to assign.
-- all pads will be assigned this sample
5. press and hold f4 (pad range start) while rotating the knob 1 click
-- the "whole" selection will be every pad but the 1st one
6. release f4 & spin the wheel one more click
-- this will select the next sample for all the pads in the range

...keep repeating 5 & 6 until you're done.

sounds complex but actually it's really quick when you're doing it. made a ton of drum kits last night using this method. i'm sitting here waiting for a bunch of drum samples to batch process as i type this
