Studio Desks ... inspiration

Sup yall.

I´m looking to build myself a new desk for my studio.
Maybe some of yall would be willing to share some pics of their desks so I can get a lil inspiration. I already have an idea of what I wanne do, but some more input would be great.
Would be interesting to see some of yall spots anyway ...

Thanks a lot!

I have the studio RTA bigger sized desk. I like it a lot compared to my basic office style desk.

^^ That looks quite cool, but I´m looking for something more ergonomic.
As I have two DAWs with each two 22" and 19" screens, a Mixer, MPC, few controllers etc ... the desk has to be pretty big.
Also I´d like to be able to work on both DAWS with 2 ppl at the same time.
I was thinkin about building something with a 90° angle ...

Here is a custom desk I had built to hold a Control 24. You can put monitor screens on each side of the board if you want. It's maple with walnut inlay and has doors to access the back.
It's very ergonomic and is built to have little to no impact on room sound.

Regards,
Bruce

build your own

If you have the facility to build your own you definitely should!! The RTA stuff is ok but nothing beats custom work. You should build your own mains too!!!

i been looking for a desk for a while now, i didn't really like al ot of the designs, the ones i did like where to expensive for my budget.
so i decided to build and design one myself. then i ran across the argosy website and decided to go with one of these the dual 15 model. glad i did it especially with ythe current exchange rate to € it was a really good deal. if you like me dont have all the tools you would have to rent them+ there's the time it takes to build and finish.
i like how the argosy desks are build really sturdy and ergonomically comfortable. afterwards i'm glad i decided to spend the money. i could not build it for much less.

if you have the skills/time/tools, by al means go for DIY. if not, dont bother and get an argosy desk. i plan to get one more for the production room.

I just built one the other day for about $175 in material costs. It's designed to house all my rack gear minimize speaker reflections and be ergonomically comfortable. I'm going to build a couple of speaker stands which will place the speakers above the top of the rack about halfway in. The pictures show the desk before it was completed.

I'm going to be finishing it in the next couple of days. A buddy of mine (Bassmankr on GS) custom designed it for my room. If your interested I could send you the plans and you could just customize it for your room.

I'll post some pics when it's finished

P.S. It's 7' long

I paid a carpenter friend of mine $300 to make it, he has all the tools and know how and I didn't want to hack it up
