Thread Starter | bastard child of analog and digital gear....help
Hi people, I"m new here and already love it. I am preparing to do some work in a studio that has and hd 3 system, a dda drm 12 console, and tons of outboard gear. I have only ever worked in studios with control 24's and rarely use outboard gear when mixing. With that in mind, I know that theoretically, there must be delays caused simply by routing audio into and out of protools. Hence, my question; how do you deal with the delay caused by routing signal to outboard gear? Do you have to learn the delay times of each piece of gear? Do you manually shift the returned audio? Any help will be appreciated....Thanks

PT HD has ADC (Automatic Delay Compensation), so you dont have to worry about the delays, just use your hardware, worry free. thumbsup
