| Emu SP1200 LCD driving me blind... hi guys i just got an sp1200 , apart from being great i have a small problem , the screen is driving me insane , at most angles , when im sitting down i cant see nothing almost , i ca only see it clearly when im standing up looking down to the machine or have the machine facing me (parallel to the wall)... is this normal? i know this is an old device but its quite extreme in mine ... can some owners give a tip to improve this and dont go blind ?help apreciated anna |

| Mine is pretty pale as well but I somehow got used to it. Iīve been looking into the optrex spare on emulator archives but havenīt been able to track one down. But any ascii 16 x 2 lcd display should work that has the same operating voltage and physical size. The displays I have found havenīt required an extra backlight so some minor modifications might have to be done AFAIK. I have seen a 16 x 2 ascii replacement vfd gas display used as a spare but you should probably get in touch with a repair shop if your not confident in doing it yourself. |

| Forat can do the "bright yellow" modification for your SP, or possibly just replace stock screen for you too but i'm not sure. Does good work from what i've heard. Forat -- Service

| Here is the official Sp 12 / 1200 forum sp1200.myfastforum.org go here and ask them how to do it yourself . also check out emulatorarchive.com and go to the archives then the SP section and it will show u where to order parts for backlight etc
