Sonnox Reverb for drums

I've been playing with this great reverb for a couple of days now, i was wondering if anyone could provide some guidelines for giving some ambience and depth to my drums with this?

after reading the manual i still cant manage to understand all of the controls, i've been playing around with some of the lexicon plate emulations with reverb mix sat to only early reflections and playing aroudn with the early reflections parameters, but i cant manage to get a satisfying sound, would appreciate some pointers/guidelines :)

yeah, it's not an easy interface/controls to get your head around. rather use something else for now and come back to the sonnox later, read the manual in between, etc...it's a good reverb but the results aren't obvious in response to the parameters you're changing

do you like the presets?

once you get to learn the controls you really can do SO much with this reverb!!!
i think there is a control called absorbtion (might be something else - i memorize by location not control name lol) but it fades out the highs as the reverb goes on - might need to throw that motha' up for drums. the presets are usless btw

great i will try that sirocco :) for getting some smooth ambience, should i put the "reverb mix" controll to ER to only allowing the early reflections to be heard? (any other guidelines for drumabience would be nice too) i realize that once you master the controls of this there are such a high grade of variation in this plugin

I don't think it's THAT bad to use. I really love the sounds I can get when I play around with it a little.

If you really want to get familiar with it throw on a pair of headphones and a simple loop and tweak away until you get the jist of what everything does. Very excellent reverb IMO.
