the award for most UNDER rated plug in goes too.....

bombfactory/digidesign fairchild 660.

yup! i never hear any press about this plug in! maybe because its a few years old.....
its simple, sounds good and uses little CPU power.

maybe im a nut, i prefer it over my waves API, my waves SSL and my 'bluetubes' collection.

but thats just my 2 cents !

Its one of my favorites of all time. I think a lot of people don't use it because its pretty damn expensive at $595 for a single plugin. Its on my long list of needs but mcdsp emerald pack covers me several ways with compression. McDsp is kinda underrated also. More like taken for granted. Seems like tons of people have some sort of McDsp, but they lack in wow appeal. They don't look like they sound good!!!!

I have the MAS version for OS9. Might setup and OS9 machine to run as virtual FX rack, I miss BF plugins in DP.

Cool

I have the Fairchild 660, 670 (vertical lateral mode blows minds) and the McDSP compressor bundle... and I when I talk to peers I sometimes get asked what I used on tracks and these plugs are always mentioned and I always get that. Really? well it sounds good! response.

It's about the sound not the press!

I use the 660 on almost ALL rap vocals and the 670 is my number 1 Stereo Bus compressor.
McDSP rules too.
I got most of those plugs on eBay from Dutchmuzik...

focusrite redline, for sure. both of em.

i was very happy with the smack! as well.

i havent really had the chance to mess with the mcdsp just a couple of minutes.

i like the lay out. but i wish it wasn't so green! i know, but i can help it.
it would be cool if it was 'flat green' like those old sovetek pedals or military items you know?

ya, im a primadonna

Enveloper in Logic. Think transient shaper. It's been there for years BTW.. One of the best plugs for weak kiks and snares
