Did anyone have the Bruce Lee game? I loved that one! Remember with the little green ninja that looked like a midget sumo wrestler! ![]() You can get it for your PC here: Bruce Lee - a remake for the PC -SD

Wasn't there an Atari computer that came out around this time capable of MIDI? My first sequencer was a Roland MC-500! It looked like a cross between a PROM burner and a cash register, an I loved it! My friends thought I was from the future:) -SD

| I forgot to mention. I also had this program which would play a tune by rapidly moving/vibrating your floppy drive's head(s). Sounded pretty awful. I took it to a friend's house to show it to him, on his machine. For the next couple of days, his floppy drive wasn't too well :) I'd say that's about as lo-fi as you can get on a c64. |

![]() The C64 is great. You actually can output some limited samples if you know what you're doing. The "Ghostbusters" videogame for example had some speech output at the beginning. There's no way to use it "as a sampler" however. Such a cool machine honestly. There's actually several revisions of the 6581 chip, and a few other chips that they used in various commodore systems that are also cool. I happen to still have one sitting on my desk with Prophet 64 running, but I also have some other older sequencer and music software. I am looking into building an 8x Midibox Sid, which should be freaking sick and huge sounding. I'm not going to likely use the 6581 chips and i'll likely use the 6582 chips as the resonance actually works on those. Might build a super basic 6581 based one just to have "that sound" around. Really amazing machine. This was the 80's for me.

| Thanks for that! Man, watching it made me realize how much time I've spent playing video games. -SD
