DSP POLL - Which unit are you?

Ok i was just a little curious as to what kind of DSP, if any, you guys are using?

Myself am on the Focusrite Liquid Mix which i use alongside Logic 8.

What about the rest of you, my self i was original going to go with the some of the UAD plugins but due to money restrictions, & what was a good deal at the time, i went with the liquid mix. Any comments from ppl who have used any of the following products would be appreciated. Have any of you switched from one to other & which did you feel gave the best results.

If i have left any DSP's of the list feel free to point it out.

CPU power nowadays is so great, they are unnecessary--unless you just want that particular set of proprietary plugins.

Right now, nothing. The LM has been on my short list for a while, but at the crucial moment it always manages to get bumped to #2 by something else so doesn't get purchased.

I love my UAD plugs, but I don't think they give me any additional DSP. Far from it, they suck the power right out of my G5. But they sound amazing!

I have 2 UAD cards, and rock the Creamware Pulsar II as my audio interface / mixer. It's got some killer synths on it though too. The modular in particular is pretty sweet.

There wasn't a category for me. I do have, use and love two UAD cards, but my primary DSP comes from my Metric Halo interfaces.

my macpro hasn't even hiccuped with any amount of plugs I throw on it. I imagine the idea of protools HD is getting useless with such power computers. Mine's half the power of the new ones!!!! I hate using LE but only because of its known limitations. An HD 1 would be plenty power for me.

Got to give love to the UAD. Plugs sound amazing, and the company is amazing in the support/service dept. Had a problem that was promptly taken care of. Went above and beyond without being asked to do so.

Sorry about that Henry, in all honesty i wasn't that aware of the Metric Halo. I have heard of it but never really look into it that much.
Just been to there site, it seems to be very well respected & looks like a comprehensive channel strip. Unfortunately i can't get more than 10 choices into my poll at this moment but thanks for point it out.

I really like (and use) Duende but I'll be getting 1 or 2 UAD cards this year as well.

Where's my Mix3 choice?

The price on those mix and core farm cards is going thoo the floor.
A Mix+ system is VERY powerful and competitive even to todays standards.

and so it has....
tho if I had 20k for gear, I'd still get a Mix+ system over HD and spend the rest on everything else.
