Building a drumline. Regular sampler or drum sampler?

Lately I find myself using Kontakt over and over again for my drums.
I used to use Battery but now because most of the time I tune my drums differently in every production (which I wasn't doing before i hit GS ) I like to spread each drum/perc all over the keyboard in order to play them in the key of the song rather than tuning them in the sampler.

The workflow of the kontakt aint convenient like it is in battery where you can play your drum line at one time with everything, kick, snare, hh, etc. In kontakt you have to play each element at a time.

I really don't EVER touch drum samplers anymore. Is it just me?

Seems like hell of a lot of work...

Why not just use the individual pitch/tune controls in Battery? That, or use a keygroup in Kontakt so your kit is all in one instrument. It's not like you need 72 different notes for your snare.

I like FL studio really for this, because you can setup a layer channel to play all of your hits, and then tune them individually. What gives you even more control is the FL sequencer lets you pitch notes in the sequencer individually. Really sick for snare/tom rolls and stuff like that.
