Somebody sh**ed on my MPC3000

Yo, just left the MPC 3000 overnight in the studio, and came back and it is covered in sh**.

Seriously somebody (who obviously was high or drunk) wiped some sh** on my MPC, what can I do? Can I wipe it down with a wet towel without damaging the electronics.

Damn, if I had a gun, I'll shoot the punk that sh**ed on the MPC.

Is it seriously poo, or did someone spill coke on it or something? Unfortunately if a beverage was spilled on it, it might be ****ed already.

I guess we are about to prove the "polish a turd" theory...

Seriously, if it wasnt a liquid like coke, a warm cloth should suffice.

...And some Febreeze.

You know, when you are tapping out some beats, you going to release the doo-doo smells stuck under the pads.

Plus, your fingers gonna stink. So you cain't eat snacks no more when you making beats

this thread is hilarious... yo but for reel that sux man u should never let assclowns into ur production area. Specify a couch/tv area for tag-alongs and entourages.

But in general, who wants these people around anyway? They inhibit the creative environment.

Dude am sorry to hear about, but did you know most raps are written while taking a shit. Maybe someone needs you to hook them up with some funky shit?, have a quick look on the floor and see if there any rolls of toilet paper with rhymes written on them.

Like my man says don't sweet that shit, just get some anti freeze

You can't be serious? That is atrocious man.
How can anyone get away with that in someones studio?

Is there a cat or dog in the studio?
I've heard stories of cats that have pissed on gear in studios & have experienced the wrath of a pissed off cat as well.
Though luckily not with my gear.

I can't fathom someone put poo on your MPC.

Anyhow, if you are for real, I'd immediately disassemble the 3000.
Make sure nothing spilled/leaked inside.
Problem with just wiping it off is if there is crap (literally?) on or near buttons/pads, wiping will quite possibly push/wedge the crap in between the buttons/pads making it even harder to clean.

Remove the top cover, pads sensor, pads, keypad assemblies, the whole 9, so you can wash down the top frame.
Its actually not that complicated, getting the top cover off is probably the most confusing part for most.
If you're cautious, you can do it with minimal risk, and again it's not that hard if you are just slightly technically inclined..
Just label & keep notes for everything u unscrew/disassemble, take photos of your progress so you can retrace when re-assembling.

If not, then I'd ship it off to a service shop asap & let them deal with it.
Then... Give the bill to whoever owns the spot or did the dookie move on you.

But really man, thats not cool.

I have had a few questionable "stains" appear on my mpc from time to time. I always clean it off woth a q tip that is barely dipped in rubbing alchohol

Or maybe they were jealous you had an MP3k and they said "that aint shit"
And they wanted to show u what shit was.

Or maybe it's the new jiggy style

"Gettin shitty with it."

personally I'd track down the person(s) responsible via the CCTV in the studio and make the kind of example you only need to do once....
