What is this instrumental? Golden Era experts, I need your help!!!

This track is a KRS-One freestyle from the legendary "Tony Touch Tape #50".

The first half of the track KRS is freestyling over a Group Home beat. But at 1:57 a new beat comes in. I have no idea what it is, but I gotta have it.

can anyone help?! What instrumental is this??

here's a link to the track: 109-krs1-freestyle-41st.mp3 - 6.44MB

I'm like 99% sure thats from Company Flow's first album, "Funcrusher". I assume El-P would have produced it.

nice.

btw: if any of you havent heard Tony Touch tape 50, you can download it (and 3 other of the 50 MCs Series tapes) here: Crooklyn's Classics: Tony Touch - 50 MCs/Power Cypha

definately one of the greatest moments in hip hop history.

So, um, does anyone have a copy of the Vital Nerve Instrumental they wanna sell me?!

it's off the vital nerve/8 steps to perfection 12" which is a collectors item, i don't think you'll find anybody who's willing to sell it. might pop up on ebay every now and then but be prepared to cough up some money.

can hook you up with the mp3 though.

THanks, I actually just found the MP3 of it. I'll keep my eyes out for the vinyl. And Im gonna dig thru some of my vinyl when I get home. I got so many records that Im not even sure of what I have anymore. I know I had the population control single which is from the same era, so its a possibility.

Yeah, I was suprised that Tony Touch would have thrown a co flo beat on one of his tape. i wouldnt put them in the golden era category. the beat is ill nevertheless, and so is co flo for that matter.
