Questions about MPC 2000XL vs 2500 What are the biggest differnces between the 2000xl and the 2500? A friend of mine has the 2000xl and I'm pretty good with (I love how super simple it is to master using an MPC 2000xl, is the 2500 as simple?) that but I am looking to get the 2500 for myself. For you all that used both, which one do you prefer? What makes you choose either or? I can get a used 2500 for a killer price so I need help deciding which to get. Also, which combo do you guys like better, MPC with logic, reason, ableton, nuendo, fruity loops, cakewalk, or sonar?

The MPC 2500 does pretty much everything the XL does with at least two dozen more functions.....

workflow on the 2500 is better, has more ram, more functions, easy to sync (no hassles really), a great unofficial alternate os, usb connectivity, etc etc...that makes it superior at least to me... the 2000xl sounds different, yes....the groove is maybe a bit different aswell.... how much voodoo is inside these comments, hard to judge....for me the difference is not big enough...so 2500 all the way for me....

I went and put a used 2500 on layaway at guitar center. Gonna pick it up next week. Its been a while since I used an MPC so I hope I didn't forget too much. I was actually trying a display 2500 today and the basic easy stuff is still there.
