| so if i had a controler surface, lets just say a mackie, it only has 8 channels. so how would this work, i know i can buy another 8 channel ad on but with just the 8 channel mackie how would this work out |

| 8 channels is for punk rock, you'll only be able to produce punk rock wit an 8 tracks mackie. |

| Gear interested | Not sure about the Mackie but I have 003 and there is a nudge control so you can move the faders as needed to the tracks |

| My usual Protools template is something like this: 1.kick 2 .snare 3. hihat 4.perc1 5.perc2 6.toms 7.crash 8.misc 9.bass 10.stereo keys 1 11.stereo keys 2 12.git1 13.git2 14.strings1 15.strings2 16.lead vox 1 17.lead vox 2 18.misc 19-30 background vocals 31 aux1 efx 32.aux2 efx 33.aux3 efx 34.aux4 efx 35.stereo aux in stereo source 36.mono aux in vocal mike/chain Master Fader I will later mix the 12 background vocals to a stereo pair and hold on to the originals. I might do drum stems,but not always.
