Recording beatboxing

I was wondering if any of you guys have any tips on the best approach to record beatboxing - type of mics...
also would you stack, double triple? what kinda parts would you need to get a full sounding thing goin (a la "My Love", "cry me a River" Timbo stuff)
what about the mix of it all? compression? Reverb, delay?
Any experienced opinions is welcome

For modern type (timbo) beat-boxing I usually use an LDC. I'll use a pop filter and angle a little off to the side because it's a lot of wind. I typically won't use any compression going in. Once it's recorded I may or may not go in and adjust volume (in the editor, not using automation) on individual hits if I need it. THEN I might use some compression at mixtime if I want that sound. As for doubling/stacking, it just depends on what I'm going for. I might go single track mono, or double track it hard l/r. Occasionally I'll multitrack a beatbox, but that's pretty rare cause it usually sounds better if it's done for real.

A friend of my is a really good at beatboxing.
He is using a condenser handheld Neumann mic (a black one, I don't know the name of it), and a dbx 120 subharmonic synth to add extra low's. It sound awesome!

SM58, I find the proximity effect is a really important part of the sound and a hand held mic is an important part of the 'boxer's technique.

Recordings I've heard done with studio vocal mics suck with no constancy in the bass.
