Good Bass VST for Hip Hop

Can anyone recommend a good bass VST for producing Hip Hop? I heard Trilogy was good but is there anything else that will give you that deep hard hitting bassline that you know I am talking about?

Trilogy is good for hip hop bass, if you cant use it i suggest the korg legacy collection: you can get some nice "analog" basses from the ms20 n u can make almost any bass preset comming from any samples box sound phat with the filter in the ms20fx.

hopefully this week spectrasonics will release a product that rivals all. good bass, for me, has always been a big weak spot in the softsynth world unless i sampled it. i still get a solid bass out of my EMU PK-6 into the Germanium's DI input.

Bass guitar homie!! Im trying to get one of them soon!!! Even though I cant play for s*it

or Just get a motif or fantom rack. Bass in those are DOPEEEE!!!

Also look for Broomstick Bass VST. It replicates some bass guitars and acoustic bass and also old keyboard bass. The sound isnt too deep tho so you need to really filter it and boost the lows with an EQ and it sounds pretty dope..

Trilogy is probably the best vst for bass tho.

Also look for the B4 vst. Its all organ sounds but If you play on the low octaves you can find some pretty deep bass sounds. And filtering will help them sound even better!

or... Theres always REASON!!

Specify the type of bass you are looking for. Trilogy is good because it covers a wider range when it comes to good sounding bass. If you are not going Trilogy then its really going to depend on weither or not you are looking for acoustic bass, electric bass or synth.

I'll give Trilogy a +1. But I wouldn't rely solely on plugs for my bass needs.. Trilogy is nice, but I'll often retrack a Trilogy-bass with something from the Motif, an elec bass or even a bass from my esq-1 (haha 80's rox).

NO MAN

Find one shot bass, load it in a software sampler and play at your hearts content. I was a big trilogy fan till i actually heard the basses (for the genre hiphop) and got mad. Im too old school so yeah I jusk grab a riff and chop till I find the best note and adsr till you get that impact.

Agreed, $300 is ridiculous for sub bass. Ridiculous I say!

wow I never thought of that 1 right their lol. Besides don't you know its a cardinal sin to ever buy any commerical product labeled hiphop. They should label them by 1980's craphop with weak preset sounds.

someone really needs to drop the ultimate box with real hiphop programs builtin and not no herbie hancock ass programming in 2000 freaking 8. The best programmed boxes to me are the yamaha djx 1 and the roland mc 307. Man I would talk to yamaha and have them do a djx3 and I will give them my whole sound library and cut the check!

im going to give away a little secret that someone put me onto about a year ago.
it's this little free synth called Starsynth bass edition. can't seem to find the developer site now, but i took the dll out of my plugin folder and put it on zshare.

here's the link zSHARE - ss2bass.zip

you owe it to yourself to try it. instant fat sub bass.

Here's a SICK synth for you ... a freebie !! It's called the ORCA

FXpansion - Community

You just have to create an account... this thing is a MONSTER...

if your controller has knobs like a Karma etc, when you tweak some of them the filters/resonance open/close and those alien eyes start winking at you.... trippy! Go get it now!
