im hearing a low end on these records that seems down deeper than what im able to get to....im using a manley massive passive pushing 40hz ....any suggestions how to make it feel likes lower than it is

Try copying your bass track to a second track and then insert a good low pass filter to the second track, maybe a Moogerfooger LPF, a Waves Audio Track,or a URS .
Then filter out the unwanted frequencies leaving only your desired low frequency.
Now blend those two bass tracks together according to taste.
Just remember that the frequency must exist in the first place.

But you perceived that -40hz low frequencies only in the bass?

its actually the kick drum that im trying to drop down....

Adding a sine wave beneath it would work.. dbx 120 subharmonic synthesizer does the trick also.. blend to taste
