Thread Starter | Lil Wayne Album Drops...support a fellow 'slut!  "Lil Wayne...The Leak...Lil Wayne Approved...." Here it is, the 5 song precursor to the highly anticipated Carter III...I produced #3... I did the track in '01 when i was still in college before my first mpc2000xl...Since I didnt have a sequencer I chopped and time-stretched the whole sample in protools and dropped the individual drum hits onto a grid until i came up with a groove that fit the sample...I know the mix critics will have a lot to say, but Universal was in a rush to put this together so the 'album' version is just a beefed up two track, we never had a chance to remix my session or weezy's vocals... Anyway, the album is only available for digital download on Amazon, Itunes, and Rhapsody. I know we all sit here and bellyache about the state of the music industry and how albums and music aren't selling, so even if you hate the song or you hate weezy, at least scrounge up 4 quarters to support a fellow slut who shares your same love and appreciation for good music! |

i dont get it  the label on purpose made a "leaked" version of semi polished material and are selling it and then they put out the same songs but the "finished versions"? |

@ themaestro I always saw your name here and wondered if u did that song. Didn't wanna ask, but I always say that voicetag u have at the start of the song and then match it with ur name here. maestro, i'm probably gonna cop the official.......but wayne has been on fire lately with the lyrics. that track "scarface" off of the leak is just banannas. even though i'm just as tired as the next man with all the scarface references he flips some sick lines on that joint. |
