I'm liking the Duende SSL Channel Strip for vocals. It's not native, and it's not that cheap, but as far as I can tell it's good.

A blank chain if you dont have anything but stock plugins lol.....

But these days, most guys' second software purchase after their DAW programs is usually a plugin bundle of some sort, so on the other hand the emulated versions of what you would have liked to use in the hardware realm can do the job fine.

My favourites thus far have to be the 1176 emulations from Universal Audio and Bomb Factory. If you have the Ren Waves stuff, the RComp would be something good to look at as well.

These days I have been spending more time putting together new combinations with my vocal FX chains- trying to look for some new, big type of sound. Thats where the magic seems to be these days for setting yourself apart from everybody else. Everyone is rocking the same eq's and compressors whether it be hardware or plugins, so its good to be different and sometimes even more complex when it comes to setting up FX.

I recently jumped back into using Supertap Delay from Waves. You can really set up some truly unreal but very awesome sounding delays with that plugin once you get deeper into tweaking it manually.

I usually just stuck with ch.strip pro for urs...
sometimes I use waves api 550a/what ever compressor I feel fits the material and a desser...

but ch.strip pro usually serves my vocal needs as of late and sounds great. then i'l buss effect and reverbs... usually breverb and oxford reverb, supertap delay, a lil chorus for the hook etc for main effects. might automate some other things...

UAD 1176LN (even when tracking that thing's pretty cool!) and yeah, an aux send to a Plate 140. I Like the Cambridge EQ when I need to EQ.
