mpc 3000 and sample libraries

Hi

I'm really interested in some sample libraries, but not the typical ones for the mpc. I'm actually really interested in this one called VOTA "Voices of the Apocalypse ". Also, Symphony of Voices..They are choirs...Basically. I'm new to the mpc (don't have one yet, but I want a 3000)..I need guidance on the mire that is sample libraries and what can be loaded onto what machine.

Thanks

I don't believe that there are many or any MPC3000 formatted CDroms. So, if you get any CDrom or even audio CD, you can load the sounds into your computer as WAV or AIFF files and use a conversion program like MPC Editor or MPCMPGMaker. These programs allow you to convert the sounds into MPC format as well as arrange them as MPC3000 ready-PGM programs. Then you have to get the samples into the MPC via Zip drive, card reader, floppy or Hard drive...or whatever.

Peace.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!

That's a hard one to answer.
To be honest, I find stuff everywhere.
But, voices are kinda special.

But, I should warn you that I am a cheap dude, so I will squeeze a dollar til the Eagle cries.
With that in mind, I'd sample my favorit recordings and make my own vocal choirs samples.

If that ain't right and direct, I'd look for demos of various companies and grab what I like best.

There is a recent speciual edition of Electronic Musician mag that is a buyers edition on newstands. It could help you. Also visit the Sound on Sound website too.

Good luck and peace.
