Do you have Reaktor? I've got a very useful trancegate ensemble that I'd be happy to share with you. I'm sure there are other stand alone plugins as well. What Daw/Platform are you running? |

| cool, ive just about finished, but im not sure if ive kept to much of the same feeling of the original song. i might do another one totaly off the wall. did you use alot of the drum/synth stems?

Not the synths but I did keep the drum stems (I added some of my own percussion here or their however from EWQL RA and Sirocco's UF3). I just couldn't find drum sounds that could match and wanted to keep the original pattern. If you used different drums Id make sure you grooved em nicely as its key to the track- in fact don't quantize anything! What exactly did u do thats so out of touch with the original track?

no, i kept alot of the same feel. i thought maybee to much. i chopped up the original drum loop and used that to change up the drums a little. you can really hear in the stems how none of the synth stuff is quantized.

thats it. use it on a pad sound. maybe play around w the freq and res parameters. maybe is the semantics. what do u call the trance sound? because there is the 16th note bass line and there is also the big arpegiatedw/ trance gated sound. vanguard from refx does all that also. | |

Im referring to the something like the bass line (or also the main synth) in "way i are" or the saw lead in duran durans "tempted". Ill give camel space another whirl, I also got a reaktor ensemble from modistylee, thanks a lot homie i jsut got ur email lol.
