| Much Hip Hop production in Nashville area? Hey there I have a friend who is going to expand his studio, he is especially talented with rap & Hip hop type stuff, but also works on other genres. He is considering possibly moving to Nashville Tennessee or surrounding area, and I was just asking for him if there is much production in this genre there. Not quite sure what his ultimate goals are, but he is trying to see if he would fare best staying here in Orlando, or if moving is a good/bad desision. not trying to ask anything about the recording industry and studios in General, Thanks for any input. |

| Not a lot of it here. There's a lot more in Memphis and Atlanta. This could be a good thing though, he might stand out in an unsaturated market.

| If he's got work in Orlando then he might need to stay. As a hip-hop producer I wouldn't move to Nashville with no clients or first hand/inside knowledge of the hip-hop industry in Nashville. Maybe your friend could try to work with some Hip-hop artist in Nashville before moving. I have a friend who was engineering A-list country in Nashville and quit because he hated country. He moved to Atlanta interned for a year, assisted for another year and is now engineering A-list Hip-Hop/R&B in ATL. So based off what he did I would say Nashville may not be the place to be for Hip-Hop. |

| Yeah He is kinda just starting with expanding his studio, does alot of work just for himself and a few others, and has a few contacts here in Florida and some elsewhere as well. I suggested the same thoughts, but there is nothing really concrete in any place, I just thought I would get some ideas about the area to pass on as a friend. thakns |
