Show us your recording setup. Post your studio pics here

The smaller setup is what i now currently own. The larger setup is a friends that i work out of in Iowa. The record is real. How many cats do you know that can say they sold 500,000 units outside of there genre, out of a apartment in Iowa ,WE CAN. Tempo studios rocks. Actually, Hilli from tempo rocks. He is one of the brightest up and coming producers out. Funny thing is is that when you are as good as him, you dont need some silly forum to hang out in. he just keeps accomplishing one thing after another.

Show us pics of your set up. I always find it inspiring to see how others do it

Funny thing is. is my ghetto ass booth. If you look close you can see a cat bed in there. dont ask me why its there but it is . I think it helps diffuse...lol yeah right

Hey bro!

What type of mounting technique are you using over there with that SE Reflexion filter?

we have a mic stand that is huge and heavy duty. its like 8 feet tall. thick aluminum. roller wheels on the bottom. i think it holds upto so much weight. it cost like 250 just for the mic stand and it takes up so much room cause the legs are not retractable like smaller stands and the legs shoot out about 4 feet per leg from the base of the stand. its heavy duty though. we hang shit from it all the time....

care to share any studio pics

Nah man I think it's important to have some equipment at home.
For demos and stuff ,it never hurts.

For sure. I have been looking to do that for some time, I was feeling all the studio pics peeps where sharing in the last thread similar to this one.

I will post up some flicks as well as a couple artist myspace links in the coming weeks as soon as I am through with setting up my new facility.

Unfortunately at the moment parts of my previous production/indie label crew have been disbanded due to some recent disagreements between myself and my business partner. So the studio got disbanded along with all that bizz.

Im just about through with designing the new space though, and Im really looking forward to getting everything back up and running asap. I hate working from out my home and having dudes stepping in and out all the time to get work done.

A big decision I'm dealing with right now is the DAW setup. The last setup was Pro Tools HD in one room, and Nuendo w/ E-mu 1820M (delta 1010 backup in place of the recently failed 1820M audio dock) in the second room. Im trying to figure out whether or not I want to do all my main mixes TDM or natively. Its a tough decision when you like using both Pro Tools and Nuendo and could deal with going either way. Yeah a good native system cost much less to put together, but money is not an object in this decision for me.

I need to get out to Ikea and get a wall shelf for my monitors and maybe a new desk so I don't have to sit the pc keyboard on my axiom.

I'll post new pics when I get everything set up. That dam reflexion filter ain't a joke. It tips my mic stand over like a mutha. I guess I'm going to academy to get a weight to hold it steady.

my rig is very modest fellas. the part you don't see is my Lynx 2B converters since they are PCI based. I get a pretty decent sound.

Yess thats what I like to see, Reflexion Filters all around!

Killah_Trakz no 2nd Dreamcast man? lol
Got almost the same console lineup, NES, SNES, Genesis II, N64, Sega Saturn, Dreamcast x2, PS2, XBOX360.
Haven't had time to play anything in a about 2 months now though. I'm looking out for NBA 2K8 though coming up.

jikkyboy11 everything is sounding real proper so far, be sure to keep peeps updated on whats going on with all that as you continue to get things setup.
