| Lives for gear | How do you multi track hook vox with out being two chorusy.Listening samples included
When i hear these hooks on the radio they have this huge wide sound and each track and over dub is placed just right to give a huge slightly delayed effect. i always thought you did this effect with creative panning and maybe a delay on a bus send set at 38ms. In fact i have seen my friend do this. i mean, you have to turn up the gain input on the send with the delay to boost the delay up equil with the main vox but it seems like every time i try this on my set up the vox have a chorus effect from doubling the vocals. i have tryed pitch shifting to avoid this. i have tryed deductive eq but i just cant produce that classic hiphop And R&B HOOK. HOW DO YOU DO IT??? or where should i start if you dont want to tell you secrets. oh and here is something to listen to while you respond. these are old mixtape jackins used for promotion. recorded back in 2005

And it seems like every one wants to give a lazy answer. whats the point in comming to a producer forum for production if you cant honestly help others with production....just dont make any sense... does any one have a pro how to answer |
