Thread Starter | Metalic Voice Effect
Hi everybody ! I was wondering about the effect in track like KanyWest - Stronger, in the hook ! The metalic voice, really good quality, and this sounds clear. What kind of Plug in do I need to use? I really need this effect for some backvocal in RnB Song... I would like to know also, when this effect take place in the instrumental, theres an effect of " Up and Down " or " Left to Right " Non-stop. Thx A lot I know you got the right answer, there s a bunch of pro in this forum! ![]() Im using, AT4060>BAE1272 into my motu sound card... with the Tube effect of the mic, and the warmth that i can have with the Pre's, this kind of sound gonna kill anything. ![]() ![]() Cya |

I always thought the effect that Daft Punk used was the result of a Speak and Spell, and a Vocoder. I may be wrong. |

this guy recreates the daft punk sound using a home made talkbox: YouTube - Daft Punk - Digital Love (Mayhem's Talkbox Cover) follow the link to his tutorial on building one: YouTube - Talkbox Tutor #3: "If you Build it, Funk Will Come" or there are a number of software plug ins available. |

So, back to the metallic effect on the Daft Punk song. I am about to start a project where the client specifically asked for that effect. Are there any plugins available that will replicate this effect or do I have to go about it the "old school" way and buy a talkbox? Used to have one and can use it fairly well, but was dumb enough to sell it at some point. For the ease of this project It'd be music to my ears to hear somebody mention a magic plugin/solution ![]() Or possibly some "home made" solution where you record some vocals, add certain effect plugins and then play the notes via Midi in AutoTune? I can get some very Daft Punkish vocals with my Roland VP9000 set to "robot" mode.
