I got the Neko SE because I had it for a year now. I've seen the specs on the newer ones, and mines is pretty fast, so if they are faster they must move really quick. I never wanted to get it upgraded because mines move fast enough for me. So I think the only difference would be the processors and how many gb it can hold.

thats whats up man, i look forward to hearing that neko put to some good use! a lot of cats say they use it, but i've only seen it used in conjunction with other pieces, thats a little odd for something that costs so much. i don't wanna steal your shine, so congrats again...but pm me, i'm interested in the neko/miko but i'm confused that i STILL aint seen it used as a standalone piece!!!

Big ups Homie

I want one, but I'd want a mac. IF that was possible. Plus I could have ptools HD in a keyboard. I'd be ON it.

I wish I could find a way to reduce a Korg z1, Apogee Rosetta 800 and a G5 down to a keyboard case size. Maybe something with an external screen.

Awesome man. Congrats.

Hey I see there is an Mbox mini in it but the stickers on the unit say protools HD. What is the deal with that?

Also how did they customise it with mac?

quality wise if you need too reproduce or pimp your neko

you need anything other as a mbox mini cuz the conversion sucks

so you need meaby a benchmark dac 1 (cuz the small sice )

and parallels desctop mac too pc emulator too drive the open labs software as emulation on your mac laptop 15.4 cuz

the open laby is nor differend too a laptop with masterkeyboard

if you like a protools hd system inside you need a really small magma 2 slot expansion

too build in.

but at least why you go too emulate this

you just need a industry technican with a cnc maschiene( cuts plastik with lasertechnic) too make you own starwars

design corpus and you can put al the things you love inside

for next generation keyboard with more power as shown in the actual openlabs keyboard limited too 2.3 ghz for next 2 years e.

beside the only feature hows nice was the copy instrument option but there is a software out for 100 dollar call autosampler how will do that .

so no reason for 5k here

pab.

lol, made my day.

I was always wondering how a software sequencer could sound better than another, without any plugins. I mean, for the consumer's ear.

I KNOW converter do change everything. So much that even in hi-rez MP3 you can hear a difference of flavour.

Anyway back to topic, Nice one Ace'Lo !!! I hope they'll soon release a quad core with proper quiet cooling... Then I'm in ! And yes, a better sound card (something tough like RME).

What's the soundcard they put in these little beasts btw ???

Thanx for the info in advance. They don't mention it on the specs. Not even the motherboard manufacturer, or they keyboard (lightweighted, heavyweighted ?) or the memory sticks brand (Corsair ???). I mean, it's just a barebone with a touchscreen and a plastic keyboard attached to it. So before I get interested into these I'd like to know what's really in it.

But I'm not dissing this beast, because it has made a great portable production station !
