Question Making Chorus Stand Out??

What effects do ya'll suggest to make the chorus part of a beat stand out from the verse part (sound wise), I know you funk with the instruments as far as adding/subtracting instruments etc. But I wanna know sound wise.

add a sustained keyboard part, make your hatz or percussion a little busier. really the technique will vary from song to song. ultimately the vocs are what make the chorus sound bigger.

Pan some stuff wider in the chorus. Add some extra hi-hat, shaker, etc. to the outer edges of the soundstage. Pan delays or whatever a bit wider. On and on...
