Thread Starter | Syncing MPC To PRO TOOLS
Yo I did a search on this and no answer found. Is anyone experiencing problems syncing an MPC 4000 to Pro Tools 7.1 HD. With midi beat clock I'm seeing a 46 tick delay from PT grid and Midi time code locks great tempo wise but does not follow song position pointer so measures are offset. drivin me nuts help!  |

beat clock can be a really poor way to sync, use MTC
|

Unfortunately when using MTC my measures don't match. Should pro tools xmit some type of song position pointer when xmiting MTC?

i dont use pt but make sure you're leaving a few bars of empty space at the beginning of any song when using MTC sync to give the machines time to sync. there are tons of threads here and over on MPC forums about 4k and MTC sync so just read around and I'm sure you'll get it working.
