I remember those books.

The art of mixing is a great read if you dont mind getting into some deep reading on the whole art of mixing, down to the smallest details.

If you are just looking for a quick read on tactics that can help to make your mixing better, you might not have the patience for a book of that calibur.

If you could give more specifics on exactly what areas of engineering you are looking to learn more about, then you might recieve more suggestions of books, websites, etc., where you can learn what it is you exactly want to know.

EZ

Mixing with your Mind by Michael Stavrou
Mastering Audio by Bob Katz

Not sure there's anything else really great out there. These are for people who know the basics well, of course. There are other books that teach you the basics but they are all woefully wrong in many places. These books aren't perfect but aren't so misleading and are very provocative.

'Behind the Glass' is my absolute fave. There are very cool interviews with some of the greatest engineers/producers and what I like most about it is that everybody has a diffeerent methods and beliefs. And it's NOT a tutorial.

The 'how to EQ a snare' kind of books are a big waste of time because you can get this admittingly sometimes useful info on the Internet for free.
