that dr. dre guitar

you know that guitar on "**** you" and "explosive"? any guesses as to how they got that sound, like what kind of guitar they used, or other gear/mixing techniques to make it sound so damn good?

I wouldn't get a new one, now that they're made in China. I think the ones from the 90's are the most desirable.

I heard you can get one with a Black unmarked van, and some duct tape. Far as I know, that's the only way you can get one. Unless you've got big bucks to spend, and then you could probably afford a legal one. The Elizondo model I hope to get comes equipped with grammy awards. It's got a 53% swing setting on it too. Very nice.

It's a Fender Telecaster, into a clean tube amp.

You can probably get that Dr Dre guitar sound using a Stratocaster with some tweaking, but it's definitely not a Les Paul.

It's actually quite easy to do, if you are a guitar player. The plucks are created by palm muting. The actual guitar doesn't really matter. Although an american strat through an all tube fender amp certaintly doesn't hurt the tone. It depends on whether you were wondering how they got that sound, or how it was played.

please post some music- I find it impossible that anyone who can say what I think is probably the dummest statement ever made on this forum to have even an understanding of music, neverless the ability to make it. It is clear you have no concept of what a music producers craft is to make a statement like that. No matter who is playing what instrument, ever track produced by dr. dre is a dr. dre track, and is impossible to replicate by anyone else...

BTW you don't impress anyone by mentioning the word "hardware"- this is a forum for GEARSLUTZ! It is not "rare" at all to use hardware.

Lets hear it we are all waiting...

1 - What I meant is most cats I run into have every piece of gear you can think of and cant make jack shit for music.

2 - You called me a rookie for no reason and you are wrong as you are about to find out.

Here is what you called the impossible:

used: ASR10 / WAX

I played the chops at the start to display NO simple drums over loops here.
This goes to MYAMS, confooshus, sirocco and computa.

no - if you had any cohesiveness in your thought you would see i was laughing at the fact he said "amateur" hater. ...specially since i contrasted it to me being a "professional" hater. as if there was a hater school or something. so stop trying to dazzle us 'haters' -- as the reward is nothing

Not horrible but not impressive man- sounds like some mediocre boom bap get a life... if this is your best shot that is sad. I agree with you sirocco I am done myself this forum is not for arguing I usually let rediculous comments slide it creates useless argument but for this one I just had to make my stance.
