Sfx Keyboard

whats up guys......not for nothing and i know its old but i just copped a 5080....didnt really to beast it out yet but i paid cheap for it......but i just wanted to know what you guys and gals think is the best keyboard or rack for sound effects.......like reverse cymbal's and shit like that......just shit to put in between sequence's......

In my opinion, the best sound fx keyboard is Ableton Live. It's not a keyboard, it's a software program. But I use it for all my sound fx/sound design. I create my own keyboard patches in Live. And I also use it to manipulate sounds in ways I could never do with anything else.

This is just one man's opinion.

Atmosphere It's not a keyboard, but buying a keyboard just for sound effects seems silly to me. If it's because you're doing live stage performance, just get a basic hardware sampler, get atmosphere, and sample the effects you want so you can trigger them with a keyboard.

But if it's for production, when it comes to effects I'd go software easily.

The best thing for that kinda effects is an AKAI sampler with samples. You can reverse and tweak them anyway you want to, and you can play it with a midi keyboard.
Roland JV with some cards would do it good to
